Message from our 2026-2027 Chair

When I attended my first FACP conference years ago, I found exactly what I was hoping for—a room full of people who understood this profession.
People who could celebrate a membership win, brainstorm solutions to impossible challenges, laugh about event disasters, and remind us that we are not alone. Those relationships have become some of the most valuable in my career, and they’ve reinforced something I’ve always believed:
None of us are as successful as all of us.
As I begin my term as Chair, I keep thinking about how much our profession has changed—and how much opportunity lies ahead.
Today’s Chamber professional wears more hats than ever before. We are economic developers, advocates, event planners, marketers, fundraisers, relationship builders, problem solvers, and community leaders. We are expected to understand public policy one minute and artificial intelligence the next. It’s challenging, exciting, and incredibly important work.
That’s why FACP matters.
This association isn’t simply a place to attend conferences or earn professional certifications. It’s where we learn from one another, share ideas freely, celebrate successes, and help each other through the tough days. It’s where lifelong friendships are formed and future leaders are developed.
This year, I encourage you to get involved in whatever way makes sense for you. Attend a regional meeting. Participate in professional development. Volunteer for a committee. Reach out to someone you’ve never met before. Share an idea that worked in your Chamber—or ask for help when something isn’t working.
You’ll quickly discover what so many of us already know: the willingness of Chamber professionals to help one another is unlike any other profession.
It is an incredible honor to serve as your Chair. I look forward to learning alongside you, celebrating your successes, and continuing to build an association that develops outstanding Chamber professionals and strengthens Chambers across Florida.
Here’s to another year of growing together, supporting one another, and making a lasting impact on the communities we proudly serve.
